Organized by EUF – E Uluslararası Fuarcılık, an affiliate of ITE Turkey, the organizer of leading exhibitions in leading industries of Turkey, 2nd Istanbul Water and Wastewater Treatment Technologies Exhibition and Conference - IWE Istanbul Water Expo will be introducing to sector’s professionals the latest technologies and developments regarding sustainable use of water resources, water management, water and wastewater treatment and recycling.

This year, IWE Istanbul Water Expo will be hosting companies and brands from numerous countries including Poland and Belgium. In our country where water resources are limited, a range of new investments are planned as part of the Wastewater Treatment Action Plan for 2023 developed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of Turkish Republic. According to this action plan, the number of wastewater treatment facilities, which was 653 in 2015, will be increased to 2154 with the addition of 1501 new ones until 2023. 1418 of these treatment facilities will be new wastewater treatment facilities while 83 of them will be existing wastewater facilities that will be upgraded. Accordingly, the total cost of investment for the new and upgraded wastewater treatment facilities for the period of 2015-2023 is estimated to be 37 billion 52 million TL. The business meetings to be held as part of IWE Istanbul Water Expo will support the implementation of the Wastewater Treatment Action Plan for 2023 developed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of Turkish Republic.

IWE Istanbul Water Expo Exhibition Director Tülin Bozkurt Bulut: “Due to rapid population growth, industrialization, urbanization, uninformed water consumption and global warming Turkey has been depleting its water resources very fast. All these planned investments are vital in terms of helping Turkey fulfill its gaps in the area of environmental protection and in terms of sustainable wastewater management. For all these investments to be made, the best address will be IWE Istanbul Water Expo which will serve as the meeting point for public and private sector, investment organizations and decision makers.
